Preparation of Yeast dumplings
starter dough

- 20 Egg yolk
- 25 dag Butter
- 250 g Powdered sugar
- 5 packages Vanilla sugar
- 5 tsp Salt
Beat 25 dag Butter with 20 Egg yolk, 250 g Powdered sugar, 5 packages Vanilla sugar and 5 tsp Salt until frothy.
dough
- 2 kg Flour
Knead the butter scrapings with the starter dough and 2 kg Flour to form a smooth dough.
Divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, cover the balls with a damp cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.

- 500 g Powidl
Press the balls flat, place 500 g Powidl on top and shape the balls.
(if the dumplings do not stick together, moisten with a little water).

Cook in lightly salted water for 8 minutes, turn and cook for a further 8 minutes.
serve
- 450 g Butter
- 450 g Powdered sugar
- 450 g Poppy seeds
Melt 450 g Butter, pour onto the dumplings and sprinkle with 450 g Powdered sugar and 450 g Poppy seeds.
