Preparation of Poppy seed noodles

Potato dough

½ kg potatoes Cook until soft. Peel and press the potatoes with a potato press and season with Prise Salt. Knead the potatoes with 40 g Butter, 12 dag Flour and 2 Egg yolk into a smooth dough.

Potato noodles

Divide the potato dough into finger-thick pieces and roll them on a floured surface to form noodles. The ends should be slightly thinner than the middle.

Poppy seed coating

Melt 5 dag Butter in a pan. Mix 10 dag Poppy seeds and 20 g Sugar with the butter.

Cooking

  • Salted water
Cook the pasta in gently boiling Salted water for 5 - 10 minutes. Remove the cooked pasta from the water using a sieve scoop.

Poppy seed noodles

  • Sugar
Toss the cooked pasta in the poppy seed coating. Serve sprinkled with Sugar.
