Yeast dumplings

Ingredients for 4 persons: 500 g Flour, 250 ml Milk, 140 g Butter, 140 g Powdered sugar, 100 g Powidl, 90 g Poppy seeds, 4 Egg yolk, 42 g Yeast, 1 package Vanilla sugar, 1 tsp Salt

Preparation of Yeast dumplings

starter dough

Dissolve 42 g Yeast in 250 ml Milk (lukewarm), mix with 100 g Flour, cover and leave to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.

butter drift

Beat 5 dag Butter with 4 Egg yolk, 50 g Powdered sugar, 1 package Vanilla sugar and 1 tsp Salt until frothy.

dough

Knead the butter scrapings with the starter dough and 400 g Flour to form a smooth dough. Divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, cover the balls with a damp cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.

fill

Press the balls flat, place 100 g Powidl on top and shape the balls. (if the dumplings do not stick together, moisten with a little water).

cook

Cook in lightly salted water for 8 minutes, turn and cook for a further 8 minutes.

serve

Melt 90 g Butter, pour onto the dumplings and sprinkle with 90 g Powdered sugar and 90 g Poppy seeds.
