Preparation of Nut liqueur
Nuts
- 1 L Grain spirit
- 20 green Walnuts
- 4 Cloves
- 1 Star anise
20 green Walnuts (Harvest the unripe nuts around the end of June, beginning of July) Quarter and place in a 2-liter container.
Fill up with 1 L Grain spirit.
(Disposable gloves are highly recommended).
Season with 4 Cloves and 1 Star anise.
Leave to stand
Cover the mixture and leave it in the sun for six weeks.
After a few days, the base begins to turn black.
Sugar
- ½ kg Sugar
After six weeks, strain the mixture, add ½ kg Sugar and dissolve.
Leave for another two weeks.
Bottling
Strain the liqueur through a cloth, fill into bottles, seal and the "Nusserne" is ready.
