Preparation of Dried porcini mushrooms
Cutting porcini mushrooms
Clean 2 Porcini mushrooms and cut into thin slices.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the mushrooms on it.
Drying porcini mushrooms
Dry the porcini mushrooms on the baking paper in the oven at 90°C for one hour.
The oven must remain open or be aired frequently to remove the moisture.
Turn the mushrooms and reduce the temperature to 50°C.
Then dry until the porcini mushrooms are completely dry.
Alternatively, a dehydrator can also be used.
Preserve
Store the dried porcini mushrooms in a screw-top jar.
Make sure that the mushrooms are very dry, otherwise there is a risk of mold infestation.
