Preparation of Beet cordon bleu

Beet

Cut 2 beet (medium sized, approx. 10-15 cm diameter) into slices approx. 5 mm thick (4 per portion).

Stuffing beet

  • Ham, Cheese
Fill the beet with Ham and Cheese and secure with toothpicks.

Breading

  • Flour, Egg, Bread crumbs
Coat the stuffed turnips in Flour, beaten Egg and Bread crumbs.

Baking

Fry the breaded beet in 250 ml Oil1 on both sides until golden brown. Not too hot so that the beet becomes soft inside. If you would like them a little softer, you can continue cooking them in the oven at 100°.
