Preparation of Shrimp cocktail
Shrimps
Marinate 100 g Shrimps with the juice from ¼ Lemon.
If using raw shrimps (recognizable by their blue color), boil them briefly in salted water.
When buying shrimps, you should pay attention to their origin for ecological reasons.
I recommend wild-caught shrimps.
If you want to be on the safe side, you can use native crayfish, but they are harder to come by.
Cocktail sauce
- 2 tbsp Water
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 25 ml Mayonnaise
- ½ tbsp Vinegar
- ¼ tsp Cognac
- ¼ tsp Horseradish
- Pepper
Slowly stir 2 tbsp Water and ½ tbsp Vinegar into 25 ml Mayonnaise.
Stir in 2 tbsp Ketchup.
Add ¼ tsp Cognac, ¼ tsp Horseradish and Pepper.
Stir until smooth.
Vegetables & apple
Serving
First arrange the salad, then the apples and peas and finally the shrimps on plates or in bowls.
Pour over the cocktail sauce.
