Preparation of Apple snake
Curd cheese shortcrust pastry
- 8.33 dag Butter
- 8.33 dag Flour
- 8.33 dag Curd cheese
Knead 8.33 dag Butter, 8.33 dag Flour and 8.33 dag Curd cheese into a dough.
Leave to rest in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.
Apple filling
- ½ kg apples
- 83.33 g Sour cream
- 33.33 g Hazelnuts
- Cinnamon
Cut ½ kg apples into small pieces, mix with 83.33 g Sour cream and 33.33 g Hazelnuts and season with Cinnamon.
Apple snake
- ⅓ Egg
Divide the dough into 3 parts and roll out thinly.
Cover each part with a third of the apple filling in the middle and fold in the sides.
Whisk ⅓ Egg, fix the dough sheets with it and brush the strudel with it.
Bake the apple snakes in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
